Control Union Academy – Terms and Conditions for Events

General
These terms and conditions are applicable to all offers from, orders to and agreements with Control Union Academy. Deviations from these terms and conditions are only valid if Control Union Academy  has given its prior written consent. Control Union Academy explicitly rejects the application of other terms and conditions, privacy policies and other related documents, unless Control Union Academy has given its prior written consent.  By clicking on the “ENROLL” button on an event page, you explicitly and unambiguously accept these terms and conditions and our General Privacy Policy which will bind you and (if you are an employer)
your employees.

Liability
All the teaching material, promotion material or any other information is carefully, and to the best knowledge developed and/or composed by Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates. Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates are not liable for any damage as a result of acting on incorrect and/or incomplete information provided by Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates. You will
indemnify Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates against any damage by third parties as a result of acting on incorrect and/or incomplete information provided by Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates.
Our maximum liability to you for attributable shortcomings in the performance by Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates is at all times limited to the registration fee paid by you. Control Union Academy and/or its affiliates will in no way be liable for any indirect or consequential loss or damage such as loss of product or profit, loss of use, or loss of opportunity, whether or not foreseeable, howsoever caused, and whether based on contract, tort or otherwise.

Payment
The price payable will be as quoted on the website at the time you register for an event. Payment must be received in full prior to the start of the event. Methods of payment will be mentioned on the issued invoice. Invoices must be paid within 30 days starting on the date issued. If you register to any event within 30 days before the event is due to start, then payment is due immediately.

If payment has not been made prior to the event and it is not possible for you to pay on the day of the event via credit/debit card, we reserve the right to refuse admission. We will confirm acceptance of your registration by an email sent to the email address you have provided.

Please be aware payments have to be made to corresponding bank account number of the Control Union Academy affiliate hosting the event, as mentioned on the invoice. Bank account number can differ from event to event, depending on your geographical location.

Booking, Cancellation and Refund
We invest heavily in arranging high quality events we must therefore apply the following business
cancellation charges for bookings:
- Up to 4 weeks prior to the event: 100% refund
- Between 2 weeks and 4 weeks : 50 % refund
- Within 2 weeks of the event: No refund

Cancellations must be made promptly via e-mail to CONTROLUNION@ACADEMY.COM. If circumstances change and the original delegate can no longer attend the event, we are happy to accept a substitute. If so, please notify us by email (CONTROLUNION@ACADEMY.COM) prior to the start of the event and we will amend our records accordingly.

Non-attendance at an event for any reason does not entitle you to a refund.


Event Cancellation by Control Union Academy
While all efforts are made to ensure our planned events go ahead as scheduled, Control Union Academy reserves the right to cancel or reschedule training courses and other events. In that case you may cancel your booking and no costs are owed. We will notify you before an event should it be cancelled for any reason. Our maximum liability to you will be limited to the registration fee that you
have paid to Control Union Academy for the event.

If after the start of an event it cannot continue due to a force majeure on the part of Control Union Academy, we will provide a replacement date. No charges are due to Control Academy. In such a case any extra costs on your side will not be charged to Control Union Academy.

Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights
All rights of intellectual or industrial property on all drawings, sheets, designs, sketches, documents and items developed or made available for the purpose of the Control Union Academy event, as well as prepared material thereof are owned by Control Union Academy and its licensers.

You will only acquire rights of use that are explicitly attributed to you under these terms and conditions or otherwise.

It is not permitted to make any of Control Union Academy’s or its affiliate’s intellectual property available to third parties, to reproduce or to make copies thereof, unless Control Union Academy or its affiliate has given its prior written consent to do so.

Personal Data
The personal data collected by Control Union Academy during the registration process or thereafter are processed by Control Union Academy in the context of these terms and conditions and our General Privacy Policy . We therefore strongly advice that you also take notice of and read our General Privacy Policy. Which can be found HERE.

The personal data you have provided during your registration to an event and thereafter will be collected, disclosed and used for the registration of events or for any legitimate reason during or after the event (as stated in the General Privacy Policy). By completing and submitting your  registration, you hereby accept our General Privacy Policy and the purposes for which we collect, disclose and use your personal data, as set out in this article and our General Privacy Policy.
